Beginning this November, through the winter into the Brave New Year, Gallerie Renee Marie presents THE AMERICAN HEART OF WINTER, featuring a host of talented contemporary working artists operating in the SF Bay Area, throughout the United States and around the world, each facing the challenge of Art Practice in the Pandemic. Curator Carl Heyward has selected a range of works from artists operating in various media resulting in an eclectic, yet harmonious blend.
Working in various media, these practitioners navigate the hurdles inherent in art making present in the best of times, now amplified to a deafening roar as the Covid -19 crisis approaches its one year anniversary.
Optimism, persistence, resilience and resolution mark the works selected by Heyward for this exhibition which will include these artists and others to be inserted in the course of its run:
